Only one entry per person per day, per entry opportunity, is permitted. If multiple entries are received, only the first entry will be included and later entries will be disqualified. All entries must be personally entered by the individual who is listed as the entrant, and no third party may enter the sweepstakes for or on behalf of any person. Reproductions of entries not valid. Not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage due mail, lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer or telephone transmissions, or other technical difficulties or failures. Not responsible for any damage to user's system or from downloading any information necessary to participate in the sweepstakes. 5 prizes of $5,000 each will be awarded. Winners are selected in a series of random drawings with the final drawing on 10/15/12 from all eligible mail, online and phone in entries received by an independent judging agency whose decisions are final. Approximate numerical odds of winning are 1 in 4,800,000. Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States, its territories and possessions. Employees and members of the immediate families of employees of RD, its affiliated or subsidiary companies, the presenting organizations, the judging agency, and judging agents are not eligible. Any dispute regarding submission of on-line entry will be deemed submitted by the e-mail account holder. RD reserves the right to terminate or modify the online portion of this sweepstakes at any time if the RD online service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond RD's control. In either of these events, prizes will be awarded based on electronic entries received to date of termination and mail-in and phone in entries received as of the closing date. Winners will have the choice of the cash or any merchandise offered in any creative presentation of this Sweepstakes. All taxes are the responsibility of the winners. Reader's Digest, the sponsor, and the presenting organization reserve the right to substitute similar merchandise of equal or greater value in the event a particular merchandise prize is no longer available to Reader's Digest. Prize won by a person under the age of 18 will be awarded to the winner's parent or legal guardian. Closing date of this Sweepstakes is 10/5/12 (for on-line and phone in entries by 11:59pm EST on 10/5/12). Winners will be notified by mail (and those with known email addresses may be notified by email as well) within 30 days of the drawing and may be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release and Payment Authorization within 30 days of prize notification attempt or prize may be awarded to an alternate winner.
