My Gramma B taught me that no fabric scrap needs to be discarded. I took it to heart. And as a quilter for more than two decades, this means I’ve accumulated a gazillion scraps! I routinely use them in my projects and have made several scrap quilts, yet they continue to multiply. If you have the same challenge—especially if you don’t feel confident making a quilt from scraps—this issue is for you. There are many approaches to making a scrap quilt. You can use fabrics from multiple collections by the same designer, which is what was done by Richy Lainson Jr. in Pear Toss, page 82; Kim Diehl in Scrappy Strings, page 64; and Joanna Figueroa in Designer Challenge: Churn Dash, page 20.
