Frequently Asked Questions

Where's my Harper's?

It normally takes the first issue of a new subscription six to eight weeks to arrive, and up to twelve weeks outside the United States. If you've been waiting longer than that, please fill out our support form or contact customer service at PRScustserv@cdsfulfillment.com or 1-800-444-4653.

What is the status of my account?

You can check your account status on Account Summary.

How do I renew?

If you're up for renewal, you'll be prompted on the Account Summary page to renew your subscription. If you're outside the renewal period for your subscription, you can fill out a new subscription form and the issues will be added to your current subscription—if you do this, please ensure that you provide us with the same address information shown on your Account Summary page.

Who do I contact about a billing problem?

Please fill out our support form by selecting Contact Customer Service. You can also email PRScustserv@cdsfulfillment.com or call 1-800-444-4653.

How do I change my mailing address?

Select Change My Address.

How do I access the Harper's Magazine archive?

If you've provided us with an email address and password under Email/Password Information in Customer Care, simply navigate to Harpers.org, and fill in your information in the sign-in box at the top left of any page.

If you haven't provided us with an email address and password yet, click on Email/Password Information in Customer Care, provide us with these details, and select Save My Changes. Once you've done that, you will be able to sign in to the archive using the box at the top left of any page on Harpers.org.

Why don't my old Harpers.org username and password work?

Your passwords are now stored in the same location as your magazine subscription information. Unfortunately we couldn't simply port your old password over because we had encrypted it for security reasons. We apologize for the inconvenience in the short term, but we guarantee that it will result in a simpler, smoother experience for you when you want to browse the Harper's archive in the future.

I forgot my sign-in email address and/or password. How do I recover them?

You can either have them sent to you by clicking on Forgot email and/or Forgot password in the sign-in box at Harpers.org, or you can change them by selecting Email/Password Information in Customer Care.

Why did I receive spam from Harper's Magazine?

Harper's Magazine subscriptions are managed by CDS Fulfillment, which operates buysub.com. Any email that asks you to visit buysub.com or w1.buysub.com originates from Harper's.

If you received any other email asking for money that appears to originate from @harpers.org, it used a spoofed "FROM" address. Examining the header of the mail file will make it clear that this email at no point passed through our servers. Harper's Magazine has a strict policy for contacting our subscribers via email and follows it carefully.
